Comment & Opinion Editor
About GB News
GB News launched in the UK in September 2021, with its mission of being the UK’s number one news channel by 2028. Making great strides towards their mission, GB News is the fastest growing news channel in the UK across television, radio and online.
GB News is passionate about delivering news and debate across media platforms and does so by embracing technologies and striving to be the market leader in their approach to news delivery to their followers.
As a start-up company operating in a well-established sector, facing changing customer needs, GB News’ standard operating model is very much challenging the news industry standards. Simply put, GB News are pathing their own way as trailblazers in the sector.
Summary
The Comment and Opinion Editor will lead the development and delivery of GB News' digital opinion and analysis strategy, commissioning sharp commentary, bold columns and in-depth pieces that drive audience engagement and membership growth.
This role will build and maintain a high-calibre roster of writers, including internal GB News talent and external contributors, ensuring a consistent pipeline of distinctive, agenda-setting content that resonates with the GB News community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-connected senior journalist with commissioning experience and strong editorial instincts, capable of identifying the topics and voices that shape public debate while delivering content that drives audience loyalty and membership growth.
