The Role

Sutton High School is seeking an experienced Learning Assistant (with Level 4 training or above) to support a senior school pupil as part of their education and health care plan.

Providing individual attention, reassurance and help, you will encourage the pupil to achieve their full potential, ensuring they are appropriately supported in their social interactions, learning and readiness for school.

You will also provide support to students working in our Neurodiversity Hub. In the Neurodiversity Hub you will provide support for individuals and small groups, facilitating their independent work and helping them develop effective study skills.

With a recognised TA qualification i.e. NVQ, NNEB, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent relevant experience in an educational setting, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to listen, empathise and build strong, positive relationships with children and staff alike.

You will be joining a team of four Learning Assistants in our Senior School Neurodiversity Team, based in our Neurodiversity Hub.
