As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our dynamic team in London.
As a Cyber Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing our cyber insurance portfolio. You will be responsible for underwriting both new business and renewals, ensuring profitability and compliance with underwriting guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with prior experience in cyber underwriting to make a significant impact in a fast-evolving and critical area of insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of cyber insurance risks, including both new business and renewals.
- Assess and evaluate risks in line with company underwriting guidelines and appetite.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to drive business growth.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to achieve profitable outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and emerging cyber risks to ensure our products remain competitive and relevant.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including claims and risk management, to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies and product innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in cyber underwriting, with a strong understanding of the cyber insurance market.
- Expertise in underwriting both new business and renewals.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex risks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats and trends is highly desirable.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CII) are advantageous but not essential.
