Hgv Class 2 Hiab Driver
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our services. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating a lorry, adhering to all traffic laws, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. Duties * Safely operate a lorry for the purpose of transporting goods to designated locations. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. * Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions. * Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. * Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road. Skills * Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence. * Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. * Ability to operate flatbed lorries effectively, including securing loads appropriately. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. * A detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate records and conducting vehicle inspections.
