We're seeking a reliable, energetic, and proactive Porter/Handyman to join the Facilities team at a large, well-renowned educational institution based near Moorgate. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth daily running of the campus - helping set up rooms, carrying out light maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Moving and arranging furniture to set up classrooms, lecture halls, and event spaces
* Assisting with basic DIY and maintenance tasks (e.g. hanging noticeboards, tightening fixtures, touching up paint)
* Escalating more complex maintenance issues to the Engineering team promptly
* Monitoring facilities areas and reporting any cleaning, security, or health and safety issues to the relevant teams
* Managing the Facilities inbox - responding to general requests, logging issues, and signposting queries to the appropriate team
* Supporting campus operations and helping ensure all rooms and communal areas are well presented

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a facilities, porter, or maintenance support role
* A proactive, efficient, and hands-on approach to work
* Excellent communication skills - able to articulate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
* A positive attitude with the ability to bring energy and teamwork to the Facilities department
* Physically capable of manual handling and moving furniture
* Reliable, customer-focused, and adaptable
