The Role – Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a variety of learning needs, helping them engage with their lessons and achieve their goals
- Assist with behaviour management , helping pupils develop social and emotional skills
- Support pupils during lessons, activities, and transitions, ensuring their full participation and inclusion
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individualised support plans for each student
- Help to create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils with daily routines and personal care where necessary
Person Specification
- A degree in Psychology , Education , Sociology , or a related field (essential)
- Previous experience working with young people with SEN , SEMH , or autism (desirable but not essential)
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
