The Role

The school is seeking a scholarly, technically proficient, and dedicated Physics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 . Physics is a flagship subject at this institution, attracting high-achieving students who aim for top-tier university placements in Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics.

You will have the opportunity to teach a rigorous curriculum, from the fundamentals of forces and energy at KS3 to advanced A-Level Physics (including options such as Astrophysics, Medical Physics, or Particle Physics). Person Specification

  • Qualified Physics Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field

  • Proven experience teaching Physics at GCSE and A-Level (experience with the IB Diploma is also desirable)

  • Outstanding subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the latest developments in modern Physics

  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students with both the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Commitment to contributing to the wider school community, including Physics societies, Astronomy clubs, or Engineering competitions (e.g., Greenpower or CANSAT )
