The Role
The school is seeking a scholarly, technically proficient, and dedicated Physics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 . Physics is a flagship subject at this institution, attracting high-achieving students who aim for top-tier university placements in Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics.
You will have the opportunity to teach a rigorous curriculum, from the fundamentals of forces and energy at KS3 to advanced A-Level Physics (including options such as Astrophysics, Medical Physics, or Particle Physics). You will contribute to a dynamic department that values innovation, supporting curriculum development and delivering practical lessons that challenge students to bridge the gap between complex mathematical theory and physical reality.

Person Specification
Qualified Physics Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience teaching Physics at GCSE and A-Level (experience with the IB Diploma is also desirable)
Outstanding subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the latest developments in modern Physics
Ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students with both the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Commitment to contributing to the wider school community, including Physics societies, Astronomy clubs, or Engineering competitions (e.g., Greenpower or CANSAT )
