Blue Legal are partnering with s leading international law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their London office. The role involves supporting the development and execution of business development and marketing strategies for the Finance practice, leading initiatives such as pitches, campaigns, events, and internal communications to drive growth, enhance visibility, and support firm-wide strategic objectives.
The Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business development and marketing plans and budgets for the Finance practice and related groups, aligned with firm-wide strategic priorities.
Collaborate with partners and BD&M leadership to deliver strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and tactical activities that support practice growth.
Lead and contribute to RFPs, pitches, and client presentations, ensuring brand consistency and coordination across global teams and departments.
Create and execute thought leadership and marketing campaigns, in collaboration with the PR team, to raise the Finance group’s profile across platforms.
Manage events and sponsorships, including webinars, seminars, and other client-facing initiatives, while supporting related client teams and projects.
Oversee internal communications, reporting, and content updates, including market research, experience collection, lawyer bios, and practice materials.
The Candidate:
Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) with a proven track record in marketing, communications, or management, ideally within professional or financial services, or related corporate sectors.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel), with knowledge of research techniques and databases used for competitive intelligence in professional services environments.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, drive change, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
