PSR Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading Tier 2 main contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a landmark £95m residential development in South East London .

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across London and the South East. The business is recognised for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the residential and mixed-use sectors, with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and long-term career progression.

The Project

A prestigious £95m residential development located in South East London , comprising high-quality residential units alongside associated infrastructure and public realm works.

The scheme is currently in the early stages of construction , offering the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key commercial role throughout the full project lifecycle through to final account.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will play a key role within the commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for the commercial delivery of major work packages across the project.

You will also support and mentor junior members of the commercial team while ensuring strong commercial management and cost control throughout the project.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading subcontract procurement from tender through to negotiation and award

• Managing and administering subcontract packages

• Overseeing cost planning, forecasting, and budget control

• Managing subcontractor valuations, payments, and variations

• Preparing and presenting monthly CVRs and financial reports

• Monitoring project performance and reporting to senior leadership

• Managing commercial risk and ensuring contractual compliance

• Leading final account negotiations and close-out of subcontract packages

• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up) with a main contractor

• Track record of delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use projects (£50m+)

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of JCT forms of contract

• Experience managing major subcontract packages and leading procurement processes

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and cost management skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
