Job Description
The successful candidate will be working on the continuous development of our multiple proprietary RegTech software solutions, in an Agile environment. The engineer will be largely working on a LAMP based technology stack, using the PHP framework Symfony 7 and above, for developing the backend microservices.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You'll collaborate with a dynamic development team to advance PHP application development and contribute to evolving software architecture.
- You'll develop new software modules across the full technology stack, translating business process specifications into effective code solutions.
- You'll resolve bug fix tickets and liaise with superusers to gather and define requirements for new features.
- You'll demonstrate awareness of security risks and implement appropriate solutions to safeguard applications.
- You'll write clean, well-structured, and efficient code aligned with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles

Qualifications
ABOUT YOU
- You have at least 4 years of experience working with the PHP Symfony framework and in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- You understand microservice architecture and apply OOP and SOLID principles effectively in application development.
- You design robust REST APIs and write automated unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- You are proficient with relational databases, and have exposure to NoSQL databases, caching systems, and queueing systems like RabbitMQ.
- You are familiar with CI tools and IDEs such as Bitbucket and Jira, and while financial compliance knowledge isn’t required, you are eager to learn and understand business workflows.

- 4+ years commercial software development experience in PHP
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills in English
- Enthusiasm to grow and learn from experienced colleagues
- Process oriented working style with clear goal direction and output focus
