KS2 Teacher - Independent School - Merton
Do you want to work in a collaborative Independent School in Merton and teach across Key Stage 2 from January 2026? This Independent School seeks a versatile KS2 Teacher to join a collegiate KS2 team on a Full-Time basis. The successful KS2 Teacher will be part of planning before January 2026, partake in induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the KS2 Teacher. The Independent School setting allows the KS2 Teacher to teach in smaller groups and to pursue creative, knowledge-rich approaches.
A week in the life of the KS2 Teacher
Mornings: the KS2 Teacher leads mathematics and English lessons with a strong emphasis on retrieval and vocabulary. Afternoons: the KS2 Teacher delivers enquiry-led foundation topics, practical science and project work. The KS2 Teacher will run targeted interventions and monitor progress through assessment cycles initiated before January 2026 and developed after January 2026. The KS2 Teacher will plan resources in advance of January 2026, attend induction during January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
Professional development & impact for the KS2 Teacher
The Independent School provides coaching, subject mentorship and a CPD pathway so the KS2 Teacher can develop leadership skills. From the induction in January 2026 the KS2 Teacher will join peer observation cycles in January 2026, access bespoke training in January 2026, and lead curriculum projects following the January 2026 start. The KS2 Teacher will be supported to trial evidence-informed practice within a reflective staff culture.
Person specification - KS2 Teacher
We are seeking a KS2 Teacher with QTS, strong subject knowledge across Key Stage 2 and proven classroom impact. The KS2 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 as the Full-Time KS2 Teacher in this Independent School.
