- Enhance our Risk Management systems to ensure Sustainability Risk can be captured.
- Tracking and ensuring delivery of GRSR ESG specific change items, governance and audit actions as required
- Undertake strategic analysis, as required, on emerging issues that could create reputational risk for HSBC and develop mitigation plans, including input to development of relevant principles or policies.
- Drive the evolving Environmental, Social and Governance Risk agenda, working with other stakeholders in the development of, and execution of, activities aligned with the identification and mitigation of relevant risks relating to HSBC’s activities and portfolios.
- Close working contact with a broad set of key internal stakeholders at all levels across the Group.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements :
- Proven, in-depth experience in ESG-related reputational and sustainability risk.
- Strong analytical skills to synthesise complex information into clear insights and actions.
- Demonstrated success in Financial Services within large, matrixed, globally diverse organisations.
- Broad global sustainability knowledge, with the ability to translate agenda into practical risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including on complex, subjective, or contentious topics.
- Track record leading and delivering initiatives across 1LOD and 2LOD, focused on effective implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management across Risk, Transformation and Business lines, influencing at all levels.
- Credible and confident presence, able to manage multiple workstreams and represent GRSR with senior leaders and external parties.
