Property Litigation Partner

Our client is a highly profitable, mid-sized law firm with a full-service offering and a ranked commercial disputes practice. As part of its continued growth, the firm seeks a Property Litigation Partner to lead its busy and well-structured property litigation team.

Clients include household name retailers, leisure operators, estate agents, and financial institutions.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the department—including leadership of senior and junior associates as well as trainees—reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Litigation. The team’s work is broad and intellectually engaging, acting for landlords, tenants, investors, and developers alike.

Matters handled include:

• Strategic support for developers on vacant possession, restrictive covenants, and rights to light
• Large-scale portfolio management: lease renewals (contested/uncontested), dilapidations, service charge disputes, break notices
• Day-to-day commercial landlord and tenant issues such as alterations, assignments, and lease management disputes

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for an experienced property litigation partner—most likely from a mid-sized London or leading regional firm—with strong technical credentials and proven leadership ability. You’ll have:

• A solid track record in real estate disputes
• Prior management experience, including responsibility for departmental budgets
• A strategic mindset and the confidence to lead a thriving team
