Customs Freight Forwarding Manager
Well established, my client handles export and import shipping requirements throughout Europe and Worldwide. Their reputation is based on their caring, customer-focused service and competitive pricing.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful Customs Manager would be responsible for leading a team of 4 customs operators. Main responsibilities are * Overseeing correct processes are followed by the team.
* Issuing: Customs entries and T forms for export trailers.
* Arranging: Customs clearance for import trailers.
* Managing VAT / Duties.
* Answering queries from HMRC.
* Mentoring and training operators where needed. Required Skills: * Candidate must be fully conversant will the full customs process.
* Have experience of using Sequoia
* Have experience in dealing with HMRC.
* Be experienced in leading / supervising a team.
* Candidate must be approachable and be a good communicator. We are looking for a freight customs manager who is enthusiastic and driven. Someone who can workas part of a team as well as on their own initiative. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in customs processes. Salary & Benefits
* Basic Salary: £45,000- £55,000 per annum
* Holiday: 25 days + 8 BH
* Company pension scheme
* Yearly discretionary Bonus
