Senior Project Manager Construction

One of the UK's most client–focused Property Consultancies is actively recruiting a Senior Project Manager to be based in London.

THE COMPANY

My client is a well–regarded consultancy based in North London known for genuinely hands–on, senior–led project delivery. Rather than large corporate frameworks, they work closely with owner–managed businesses, developers, charities and private investors; clients who expect direct access to the person running their project, not a layer of process between them. It's a lean, close–knit team where individuals are trusted to own their projects outright rather than operate as part of a large delivery machine.

THE POSITION

They are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager who will take genuine personal ownership of projects from consultant appointment through to final account. You'll run several live projects concurrently, make contractual and commercial decisions without needing constant senior sign–off, and act as Contract Administrator/Employer's Agent. Projects span a range of values and sectors including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, and Community, with an emphasis on smaller and mid–sized schemes where your judgement and client relationship carry real weight.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful Senior Project Manager must:

• Have demonstrable experience personally running projects end to end – design coordination, procurement, JCT documentation, delivery and defects
• Have genuine hands–on JCT/CA or EA experience, not delegated or shared responsibility
• Be comfortable carrying multiple concurrent projects in a lean team environment
• Have a track record of independent decision–making on contractual and commercial matters
• Have strong client–facing skills and the commercial awareness to work confidently with owner–managed businesses, developers, charities or private investors
• Come from a consultancy or building surveying background, ideally at a smaller or mid–sized firm
