A specialist secondary school in Hackney, dedicated to pupils with moderate learning needs, is seeking a Class Teaching Assistant to join their Year 10 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can combine patience, resilience, and positivity to help students thrive both academically and socially.

Your role will include:

Providing in-class support to Year 10 pupils with moderate learning needs.

Encouraging engagement in lessons and promoting positive learning behaviours.

Supporting students with their social development and confidence.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to deliver tailored support.

About you:

Previous experience working with SEND students is desirable.

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build trust quickly.

A background in mentoring, youth work, or sports is highly valued, as students enjoy active play and team activities.

Role details:

Location: Hackney

Contract: Full academic year (September 2025 - July 2026)

Pay: £95 per day, rising to £128 after 12 weeks

Trial sessions: Taking place shortly
