Accounts Payable Manager (P2P) - London
At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!
At Trustpilot, we’re on an ambitious journey to modernise how we manage spend, payments, and supplier relationships globally. As a high-performing, publicly listed FTSE business, we operate across multiple entities and currencies — with the governance, accountability, and controls you’d expect of a regulated environment.
We’re investing boldly in scalable systems, automation, and talent to build a world-class Procure-to-Pay (P2P) capability.
We’re now seeking an Accounts Payable Manager who can elevate our AP function from operational excellence to strategic value creation. You’ll lead a small team through transformation — including the roll-out of our new procurement orchestration and invoice automation platform — while ensuring accuracy, control, and scalability across our global footprint.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Global Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the Accounts Payable function across multiple global entities, currencies, and time zones.
- Ensure all AP processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with local tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage global payment runs and ensure adherence to contractual and policy-based payment terms.
- Oversee Travel & Expense (T&E) and corporate card programmes, ensuring adherence to policy and visibility of spend.
2. Process Optimisation, Automation & Transformation
- Champion the design, implementation, and adoption of our new P2P platform, streamlining vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities using AI, OCR, or RPA to reduce manual intervention and cycle times.
- Establish and monitor key AP performance metrics (e.g. invoice turnaround time, exception rate, cost per invoice, on-time payment %).
- Partner with Procurement, IT, and Corporate Systems to integrate AP processes with upstream and downstream systems (ERP, finance, reporting).
- Lead training, change management, and communication to embed new ways of working across global teams.
- Develop standard operating procedures, dashboards, and insights to enhance compliance and decision-making.
3. Controls, Compliance & Audit
- Own AP policies, approval hierarchies, and purchasing controls in collaboration with Finance and Procurement.
- Ensure vendor master data governance, segregation of duties, and internal controls meet audit requirements.
- Partner with Legal and Tax to ensure compliance on VAT, withholding taxes, and cross-border payments.
- Support internal and external audits, proactively addressing findings and maintaining robust documentation.
4. People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing AP team, building a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Create development pathways, cross-training, and succession plans to grow future leaders.
- Foster close working relationships with Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities.
Who You Are
- Experienced leader in Accounts Payable or Procure-to-Pay, ideally within a multi-entity, international and regulated or listed organisation.
- Proven success implementing or optimising P2P / ERP systems
- Strong understanding of global accounting principles, VAT / tax compliance, financial controls, and audit frameworks expected in a PLC.
- Analytical mindset — confident with Excel / Google Sheets and data visualisation tools.
- Collaborative communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional change.
- Energetic, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategic transformation with operational accountability.
What’s in it for you:
- A range of flexible working options to dedicate time to what matters to you
- Competitive compensation package + bonus
- 25 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days after 2 years of employment
- Two (paid) volunteering days a year to spend your time giving back to the causes that matter to you and your community
- Rich learning and development opportunities are supported through the Trustpilot Academy and Blinkist
- Pension and life insurance
- Health cash plan, online GP, 24/7, Employee Assistance Plan
- Full access to Headspace, a popular mindfulness app to promote positive mental health
- Paid parental leave
- Season ticket loan and a cycle-to-work scheme
- Central office location complete with table tennis, a gaming corner, coffee bars and all the snacks and refreshments you can ask for
- Regular opportunities to connect and get to know your fellow Trusties, including company-wide celebrations and events, ERG activities, and team socials.
- Access to over 4,000 deals and discounts on things like travel, electronics, fashion, fitness, cinema discounts, and more.
- Independent financial advice and free standard professional mortgage broker advice
- Talent acceleration programs: Fast-track your career with our tailored development programs designed to support growth at whatever stage of your career
Still not sure?
We want to be a part of creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world of work for all. We’re excited to hear about your experiences along with how you will contribute to our working culture. Even if you don’t feel you meet all the requirements, we'd still really like to hear from you!
