Quant Capital is urgently looking for Python Developer / Quant Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a new growing Quant Hedge Fund in the Commodities and Equities space.
The ideal Python Quant Developer candidate will be highly proficient with python as well as interested in researching data and pattern recognition
You will be a Developer or mathematician motivated by what’s new to ensure you’re always ahead of the curve. You will understand the need and importance of reliable code as well as the bleeding edge of what new technology can deliver, especially in python / opensource.
The Quant Python Development Team is 14 at present so development is both team and individually focussed. We are looking for those at the top tier of the python and technology market.
On a day to day the python Quant Developer will:
- Working on own strategy research
- Platform development
- Working to create execution of models
- Transferring models in to real world algorithms
- Execution
- Latency technology research
- Machine learning research
Python Quant Development Candidates MUST have: (the below also gives you an idea of stack)
- PhD in Maths Stats or Comp Sci from a top school MIT Oxbridge or Imperial (Southampton Comp Sci)
- Good understanding python nuts and bolts
- Ideally some Linux exposure
- Opensource interest and prescence
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases with or without using an ORM
- Ideally some Java or C++
- Interest in quantitative problems
The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for scientists and those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
