The Role – Graduate Unqualified Teacher

As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher , you’ll be placed within a subject department aligned with your degree. You will:

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 .
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students who need additional help or challenge.
• Assist with lesson planning, classroom management, and resource preparation.
• Gradually lead parts of lessons as your confidence grows.
• Work alongside experienced teachers who will mentor and guide you.
• Gain first-hand experience of life as a secondary school teacher.

Who We’re Looking For – Graduate Unqualified Teacher

The ideal Graduate Unqualified Teacher will be:

• A graduate with a 2:1 or above in a relevant subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, Arts).
• Passionate about education and motivated to pursue a teaching career.
• A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable, enthusiastic, and proactive in a fast-paced school setting.
• Committed to working full-time for the full 2025/26 academic year .
• Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is desirable but not essential.
