Shift Engineer
- Mechanical fault finding and repair on production and packaging equipment
- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Electrical fault diagnosis (sensors, motors, drives, panels). Safety focused, not design led.
- Rapid response to breakdowns to keep production running
- Identify and implement reliability and improvement opportunities
- Work safely, following site and legal engineering standards We're looking for a mechanically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our high-speed production lines running safely and efficiently. You'll spend the majority of your time on mechanical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance, with enough electrical knowledge to work safely, diagnose faults and support line recovery. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for an engineer who enjoys fixing problems properly and minimising downtime. We are open to strong engineers who have just passed their NVQ level 3 EPA as well as experienced engineers.,
- Mechanical bias (or electrical bias, but happy to be conducting
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering (Additional Multi-skilled or Electrical qualification an advantage)
- Manufacturing or FMCG maintenance experience
- Confident with mechanical systems: gearboxes, bearings, chains, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics
- Electrical safety awareness and fault-finding capability
