Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a forward-thinking special school in Hounslow. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, ideal for a Band 6 clinician or an experienced Band 5 looking to develop within a supportive educational setting.

The school provides for pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Autism, sensory processing challenges, physical disabilities, and developmental delays. You'll be part of a warm and inclusive multidisciplinary team committed to enabling independence, participation, and access to learning through creative, therapeutic strategies.

Your caseload will include pupils aged 4 to 19, with therapy delivered through a mix of 1:1 interventions, small groups, and environmental adaptations. The school is well-resourced and promotes integrated working across care, therapy, and education.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess, plan and deliver occupational therapy for students with complex needs
* Provide tailored interventions to support sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, and functional independence
* Collaborate with teaching and support staff to embed therapeutic strategies across the school day
* Maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to EHCPs and review reports
* Advise on equipment, postural support, and classroom adaptations
* Deliver training to staff and contribute to wider school planning
* Participate in regular CPD and peer supervision

Qualifications and Experience

* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND
* Strong understanding of sensory processing and motor development
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent communication, planning and record-keeping skills
* Band 6 preferred, Band 5 with relevant experience considered
