At Monzo our mission is to make money work for everyone everywhere. Were looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Security Collective and help us build one of the most innovative and secure banks in the world.
The Security Collective is a passionate cross-functional group of people making Monzo a safer place to work and bank. We believe that Security is all about balance : we protect without adding friction providing world-class security without compromising user experience.
As a TPM in our collective youll work with fellow Security analysts and engineers to drive multi-disciplinary programs across Security functions such as IAM detection engineering infrastructure product InfoSec data protection risk management business change compliance governance etc. Youll also be responsible for managing our systems of work ensuring our processes are as effective as they can be.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of major Security programs that cross multiple teams and collectives.
- Define program roadmaps and milestones set priorities manage trade-offs identify and manage critical path and risks ensure alignment with the business goals and ambition
- Collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders both technical and non-technical across the business to ensure alignment and speed of delivery
- Manage dependencies timelines and sequencing of delivery
- Produce periodic reporting on all managed initiatives to various stakeholders (including regulators) and committees.
- Drive effective decision making to remove blockers
- Ensure operational effectiveness across the Security Collective
You should apply if:
- You have demonstrable experience managing complex technology programs especially in the field of Security.
- You have experience or exposure to the world of Security whether it be engineering compliance etc.
- You are able to communicate clearly and persuasively to a wide range of audiences including executive leadership.
- You are comfortable in a global business with a presence in multiple markets and want to be a part of scaling this further
- You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get work done and are able to thoughtfully and constructively challenge and influence the people you work with.
- You understand how functionality comes together (across products and platforms) to deliver value for users and identify/mitigate delivery risks proactively; can propose and drive a technical solution.
- You are comfortable personally diving deep into the data to make good decisions in complex situations where theres often no right answer.

The interview process:
- Recruiter Call (30 mins) Youll meet our Engineering Leadership Recruiter to discuss your experience and learn more about Monzo. Theyll be your partner and guide throughout the interview process.
- Initial Call (45 mins) Youll meet with one of our engineering leaders. Theyll ask you about your previous experience in particular program execution and technical leadership. Theyll also make time to tell you about Monzo and answer your questions.
- Loop Stage (3 hours) The Loop stage consists of 3 x 60 min interviews that take place over 1-2 days (depending on your availability).
All things going well youll have completed the hiring process
Our average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability. Youll have the chance to speak to our recruitment team throughout the process.
