Matchday and Events Assistant (Casual Role)

Arsenal Football Club
London

The Role

We are looking for a number of Matchday and Events Assistants on a casual basis . Reporting into the Supporter Experience team, this role will support the execution of our Women’s and Men’s fixtures and key activations at Emirates Stadium, ensuring an outstanding matchday atmosphere and positive supporter experience.

Who we are

We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history of success – read more about our history, here .

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We are committed to ensuring that our environments for children, young people and adults at risk remain safe and inclusive. We therefore require successful candidates to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks prior to starting their employment. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, a DBS will be either a basic, standard, or enhanced check.

Your day-to-day

  • Oversee matchday production preparation - you'll support the execution of the matchday in-bowl production, including assisting the delivery of the matchday show, as well as internal and external activations

  • Support with scheduling and matchday operations - you will work alongside various matchday teams to ensure successful delivery of all matchday operations

  • Strive for continuous improvement - you'll seek to add value where possible to improve the end-to-end supporter experience

  • Bring a fresh perspective - you will help to shape key club moments which resonate with our global supporter base

  • Deliver  across key touchpoints - you'll assist the Supporter Experience team in delivering best in class touchpoints for supporters and other groups

  • Have a positive impact for stakeholders - you will communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders

  • Keep a safety conscious mindset - you'll understand internal protocols and processes, such as Health & Safety and Safeguarding processes in events

  • Provide exceptional customer service - you will provide excellent customer service to those attending matchdays and events

Please note:  This casual role will require working evenings and weekends, as per the requirements of matchdays at Emirates Stadium, and other venues as and when required.

What we are looking for

  • Track record in a similar hospitality and customer service role - you've previously thrived in a proactive hospitality and events role within a customer service focused environment

  • Background in major events - you have a history of planning and delivering major events which drive significant external impact within sport or entertainment

  • Best-in-class organisational skills - you have proven experience in managing a varied workload in a fast-paced operational environment

  • Passion for customer service - you take pride in providing excellent customer service and you thrive in a customer-centric environment

  • Flexible and adaptable approach - you are available to work across evenings, weekdays and weekends
