Schools Need HR Support — Could You Help?

We regularly hear from schools in Camden looking for immediately available HR professionals to provide additional support, cover staff absence or help during particularly busy periods.

We're building a strong pool of experienced HR Officers who are available for temporary assignments and can step into a school HR team at short notice.

This could be anything from a few days of sickness cover to a longer-term temporary assignment.

What You Could Be Working On

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process

• Maintaining employee records and HR systems

• Preparing contracts and HR documentation

• Supporting safer recruitment checks

• Monitoring DBS and right-to-work documentation

• Assisting with absence and attendance administration

• Supporting the school's Single Central Record

• Responding to employee queries

• General HR administration

• Providing additional support to the HR Manager or senior leadership team

About You

Previous school-based HR experience is essential. You should understand the particular requirements of working in an education environment and be comfortable handling confidential employee information.

Candidates must have:

✔ A clear DBS
✔ DBS on the Update Service, or a DBS issued within the past 6 months
✔ Previous experience working within a school
✔ Strong organisational and communication skills
✔ Good knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
✔ Flexibility to work full-time and/or part-time assignments
