Year 1 Teacher | Streatham
A popular Streatham primary is recruiting a confident and creative Year 1 Teacher to join its KS1 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to collaborative planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and start teaching from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role is for a practitioner who is passionate about early literacy, systematic phonics and creating stimulating, language-rich environments.
• Year 1 Teacher - Full-Time position with a January 2026 start.
• Year 1 Teacher to join a Good Streatham primary - planning and induction begin January 2026.
• This Year 1 Teacher will have mentor support and targeted CPD from January 2026.

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
• As Year 1 Teacher you will deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 1 Teacher.
• The Year 1 Teacher will plan sequenced writing and practical mathematics as the Year 1 Teacher.
• The Year 1 Teacher will run small-group interventions, lead parent workshops and contribute to transition planning as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will prepare materials before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
• QTS or equivalent and demonstrable KS1 experience required of the Year 1 Teacher.
• The Year 1 Teacher should be enthusiastic, organised and skilled at building strong relationships with children and families.
• Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a Full-Time start in January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher is essential.
