Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge, UB8 3HD
Salary: £31,500 per annum ( not pro rata )
Hours: 38.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026 (ASAP)

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging lessons, one-to-one sessions and small-group learning tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning, adapting lessons to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
- Monitor progress, celebrate achievement and use assessment to support continued development.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils develop confidence, emotional resilience and independence.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, schemes of work and innovative learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
- Participate in EHCP reviews, meetings and professional development while maintaining accurate records and the highest safeguarding standards.

- Has previous classroom teaching experience within an SEN setting.
- Has a good understanding of Special Educational Needs and the needs of neurodivergent learners.
- Is passionate about pursuing a career in teaching and making a lasting difference to young people.
- Can deliver engaging, creative learning that inspires pupils to achieve their full potential.
- Is patient, resilient and able to build strong, positive relationships.
- Works confidently both independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.

About Us
At Hillingdon Manor, we provide specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 10 and 19. Located across two sites, our Secondary School supports around 125 students. Our students are taught in smaller class sizes and all students work towards a variety of qualifications dependent on their needs and ability.
The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil’s potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide students with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.
For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
