Job Description



We’re recruiting for a Senior Manager, Employee Communications – Group Functions (GCOO) to join us.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To support the Senior Employee Communications Manager, Group Functions (GCOO), to deliver communication strategies by developing content, creating communications plans, and gathering data and insights to improve the effectiveness of communications.
  • Assisting the Senior Employee Communications Manager, Group Functions in delivering plans that engage employees with L&G’s GCOO strategy and build trust in the Leadership Team through employee communications, and events, flexing to support other areas of Group Functions in line with business requirements.
  • To support the Senior Manager in the development and delivery of change communications plans to ensure employees understand the reasons for change by drafting clear, consistent content and supporting leaders to communicate.
  • To support content creation and digital channel management for GCOO communications strategies, and wider Group Functions plans where needed, working with stakeholders to align messaging with L&G’s narrative and with Employee Communications to ensure appropriate co-ordination with wider activity.
  • To support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, including developing agendas, speaker notes, presentations, creating and maintaining attendee lists, and developing content, working in collaboration with the L&G events team.
  • To work closely with colleagues from across Employee Communications to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the function, including supporting improvements to planning, measurement and evaluation, editorial planning, and information sharing to strengthen cross divisional planning, collaboration, and strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Consumer Duty: To design and develop communication assets tailored to target audiences, ensuring clarity, fairness, and compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements.

Qualifications



Who we’re looking for:

  • Understand the role of employee communications as part of Corporate Affairs, and in wider business strategy.
  • Awareness of communications tactics, including content development and channel management.
  • Knowledge of evaluation and planning methodologies used in communications functions.
  • Knowledge of technology and operations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Experienced in content development and event management.
  • Experience in employee communications, and leadership communications, ideally working as part of an in-house communications team.
  • Previous experience working in or with complex regulated organisations, ideally in financial services.
