A well-established Outstanding School in Merton is looking to appoint a passionate Biology Teacher to join its Science Department. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for a teacher who enjoys practical science and wants to help students develop a genuine understanding of Biology.

You will teach Science at Key Stage 3 before delivering Biology at Key Stage 4. The role will involve teaching topics such as cells, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, ecology, evolution and genetics.

Practical work will be an important part of the role, with students encouraged to investigate scientific ideas and develop their ability to interpret experimental results.

At GCSE, you will prepare students for examinations while ensuring they have a secure understanding of the scientific principles behind each topic. You will use assessment regularly to monitor progress and address gaps in knowledge.

The salary for this Biology Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
