Warehouse Supervisor - Temporary to Permanent
Location: South East London
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays), 09:00 - 17:30
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to start in a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent member of our team.
The Role: As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations. You will lead and manage a small team, ensuring all daily targets and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate the warehouse team to ensure a high level of productivity and accuracy.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including the receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching of goods.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory control and stock levels.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Plan and adjust staffing levels to meet operational demands and deadlines.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse.
- Assist with the training of new team members and provide ongoing support and coaching.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operational flow.
About You:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or similar logistics environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- A hands-on approach and a commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A good understanding of warehouse processes and best practices.
