Key Responsibilities:
Academic Delivery: Teach DT at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level (Product Design), ensuring students achieve top-tier results in both controlled assessments and examinations.
Technical Mastery: Demonstrate expertise across a range of materials including woods, metals, and plastics, as well as modern CAD/CAM processes.
Project Mentorship: Guide students through complex NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) projects, from initial sketching and prototyping to the final high-quality product.
Safety & Standards: Maintain an exemplary standard of Health & Safety within the workshops, ensuring all students are proficient in machine use.
The School
Located in the leafy, affluent borough of Richmond, this private school offers an environment where creativity is championed. The DT department is a hub of innovation, boasting 3D printers, laser cutters, and a full suite of traditional machinery, supported by dedicated technicians.
Why join this team?
Resource-Rich Environment: Work with the latest industry-standard software (such as SolidWorks or 2D Design) and premium materials.
Small Class Sizes: Engage with highly motivated students in smaller groups, allowing for focused 1-to-1 practical tuition.
Professional Growth: Benefit from a school culture that encourages continuous professional development and cross-curricular projects with Art and Science.
Stunning Surroundings: Enjoy a beautiful campus located near the Thames and Richmond Park, with easy transport links to Central London.

A degree in Product Design, Engineering, or a related Design field.
Proven experience teaching Product Design at GCSE and A-Level.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM technology and traditional workshop machinery.
