Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 37.5 per week, worked across four long days (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm). No nights or weekends.

The centre brings together systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), palliative care, and a full multidisciplinary team, all under one roof, in a calm and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate, motivated nurse who is passionate about cancer care and ready to develop specialist skills in systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
As a Staff Nurse in our Ambulatory Cancer Care Unit, you will play a key role in assessing patients and delivering safe, person-centred care. You will work closely with consultants, pharmacists, clinical nurse specialists, and allied health professionals, ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes and quality of life for patients.
You will receive comprehensive induction and training supported by our Clinical Practice Educator in Cancer Care, with a structured pathway to gain your IV and Chemotherapy Passports, and clear opportunities for career progression.
Key Duties
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to achieve excellent clinical outcomes for patients receiving SACT and supportive treatments.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve a seamless and person-centred patient journey.
- Assess, plan, and evaluate care to achieve high standards of practice and safety.
- Engage in structured training and development to achieve competency in IV therapy and chemotherapy administration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement to achieve service excellence across cancer care.
Skills and Experience
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult).
- Previous oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional intelligence.
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to professional growth.
- A team player who demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and resilience.
