You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, developing students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

At KS3, you will establish secure foundations in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation before helping students progress towards GCSE. At KS4, you will prepare pupils for the four language skills required by the examination specification while developing their ability to communicate independently.

The school is looking for a teacher who can make lessons varied and purposeful through conversation, role play, listening activities, written tasks and authentic Spanish resources. Cultural content will also help students understand the wider context of the language.

You will monitor student progress closely and adapt your teaching to provide appropriate support and challenge.

Spanish Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• Spanish Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE Spanish experience

• Excellent spoken and written Spanish

• Strong grammatical knowledge

• Ability to develop students' conversational confidence

• Effective classroom management

• Strong planning and assessment skills

• Enthusiasm for language learning

Salary

The salary for this Spanish Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
