Employment Tax Assistant Manager - PE Backed Firm

The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver a wide range of employment tax compliance services, including PAYE health checks, P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreements, and Construction Industry Scheme compliance.
* Draft clear and practical technical advice on employment tax matters such as employment status, off-payroll working (IR35), termination payments, and benefits-in-kind.
* Support senior management with strategic advice to clients, identifying risks, opportunities, and practical solutions.
* Gain exposure to international employment tax and global mobility projects, including expatriate tax compliance and cross-border planning.
* Keep up to date with changes in UK employment tax legislation and share insights with clients and colleagues.
* Contribute to client meetings, presentations, and business development initiatives.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
About You
* Previous experience in employment tax.
* ATT qualified (or equivalent); further professional study supported.
* Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
* Strong analytical ability, with good Excel skills.
* Organised, motivated, and able to take ownership of tasks.
* Experience of dealing with HMRC is essential; expatriate tax or payroll knowledge desirable but not required.
