Interim Legal Counsel
We believe transformation does not happen in a vacuum. It happens through partnership, insight, and the ability to turn complexity into confidence.
At Orbus Software, we help some of the world’s most sophisticated organizations understand their business inside and out. Our platform, OrbusInfinity , connects strategy to execution, IT to the business, and transformation goals to measurable results.
With customers spanning industries and continents, we work side by side with global enterprises, public institutions, and fast-moving innovators. Whether guiding a Fortune 500 through a complex merger, helping a bank streamline its architecture, or equipping a healthcare provider to move faster, we ensure our customers succeed.
Legal is a critical partner in that mission. We work closely with colleagues across Sales, Finance, and Operations to manage risk, enable deals, and maintain compliance globally.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Interim Legal Counsel to join the Legal team on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will bring expertise in negotiating, reviewing, and managing a wide range of commercial contracts, particularly software licences and SaaS agreements in both the private and public sectors.
This role manages a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, liaising with customers and colleagues across regions. With a global remit supporting our teams in EMEA, NAM, and APAC, you will help enable deals, protect the business, and ensure compliance.
The role will report to the Chief Legal Officer and support the Director of Legal & Procurement, both based in London.
What You Will Do
Draft and review legal documents including SaaS agreements, software licence agreements, NDAs, partnership/referral agreements, reseller agreements, and MSAs
Negotiate with clients and collaborate with Sales to ensure contracts reflect business needs while mitigating risk
Support deal enablement for large corporate and government clients across multiple jurisdictions
Manage contract storage, key terms, and contract summaries using systems such as Salesforce and DocuSign
Translate legal concepts into plain language for colleagues across the business
Contribute to the global legal team by sharing knowledge and supporting best practices
What You Will Bring
JD, LLB or equivalent, with admission in England & Wales (or another common law jurisdiction)
At least 4 years PQE gained in a law firm or in-house environment
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English, ideally software and SaaS contracts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues
Comfort working across multiple jurisdictions with varying requirements
Track record of managing and reporting on multiple, fast-moving projects
Detail-oriented, flexible, and proactive, with the initiative to learn new concepts and operate independently
Collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting a global team
