An Exciting Opportunity in School Data Administration
Wayman Education is currently working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Kensington that is seeking to appoint an organised, analytical and highly dependable School Data Officer .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or data professional to join a busy school environment and take responsibility for ensuring pupil and school information is accurate, up to date and effectively managed.
The successful candidate will become an important member of the school's administration team, working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to provide reliable data and administrative support across the school.
About the Position
As School Data Officer, you will oversee the accurate management of pupil records and school information across the school's administrative and management information systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pupil records across the school's MIS and associated databases.
Processing new admissions, pupil transfers, leavers and changes to pupil information efficiently and accurately.
Completing regular data checks and identifying discrepancies or missing information.
Producing and preparing reports covering areas such as attendance, assessment, pupil information and school performance.
Working alongside staff to investigate and resolve data inaccuracies.
Preparing information and reports for meetings involving senior leaders and other key staff.
Supporting the school with census requirements, statutory returns and other important reporting deadlines.
Assisting with wider administrative tasks throughout the academic year.
Ensuring all confidential pupil and staff information is handled securely and in line with data protection requirements.
Providing a responsive and reliable data service to colleagues across the school.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for an individual who is methodical, accurate and exceptionally well organised , with the ability to manage large amounts of information while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience within data administration, school administration, MIS administration or a similar position.
Excellent data entry and record-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other spreadsheet-based systems.
Experience working with databases or management information systems.
The ability to identify errors, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
A professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information.
Previous experience within an education setting would be advantageous, although relevant data or administrative experience will also be considered.
