Music Teacher – Waltham Forest (Post-16 College)

Location: Waltham Forest, London
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Pay: £160–£220 per day (depending on experience, PAYE – no umbrella deductions)

The Role

You’ll be delivering engaging lessons across BTEC and A-Level Music, helping learners explore everything from composition to performance. This isn’t just about scales and scores—it’s about empowering young people to express themselves through music.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons for Post-16 learners

  • Supporting coursework, exam preparation, and live performances

  • Encouraging collaboration in ensembles and solo work

  • Using tech and digital tools to enhance learning (think Logic, GarageBand, Sibelius)

  • Contributing to the wider performing arts faculty and college life

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong background in Music (classical, contemporary, or production)

  • Experience teaching at Post-16 (BTEC, A-Level, or equivalent)

  • Creative, adaptable, and able to motivate students with mixed abilities

  • Bonus if you bring performance or industry experience into the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
