ResponsibilitiesVerifying the conformity of aerospace parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to engineering drawings and customer requirementsCompleting detailed and traceable inspection recordsSupporting production teams with batch verifications and first-off inspectionsCompiling First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)Performing inspections throughout the manufacturing and supply chain processReporting and escalating non-conformances, and supporting root cause investigationsActively participating in Continuous Improvement and New Product Introduction meetingsRequirementsThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsSolid experience in inspecting precision componentsFamiliarity with inspection tools, CMM equipment, and industry measurement techniquesExperience in aerospace or pharmaceutical environments preferredStrong communication and organisational skillsConfidence to challenge and escalate quality issuesHND or equivalent qualification, with a good grasp of imperial and metric systems would be desirableBenefitsIn return we are offering: A competitive basic salary plus an enhanced shift premium. 39 hours worked over 4 days Monday to Thursday (5:00 pm – 3:15 am), additional shift premium paid at time and one-third for hours worked between 6:00 pm and 3:15 am23 days holiday pro rata increasing to 26 days after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidaysLife assurance schemeAuto enrolment pension schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee Referral SchemeEmployee Recognition SchemeLong Service AwardsThis role is based within the ULEZ zone.
