Pay: £93–£120 per day

About the Role

As a Literacy Intervention Teaching Assistant in Redbridge, you will work with pupils who would benefit from additional support with reading, writing and their wider literacy skills.

You will deliver targeted activities individually and in small groups, helping pupils improve their confidence while reinforcing the learning taking place within the classroom.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about English and able to make learning engaging and accessible for children with different abilities and learning styles.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver literacy-focused interventions.
* Support pupils with reading and writing.
* Work with individuals and small groups.
* Help pupils develop confidence in their literacy skills.
* Reinforce classroom learning through targeted activities.
* Track and communicate pupil progress where required.
* Work alongside teachers to identify areas requiring additional support.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience working with children is advantageous.
* Strong English and literacy skills.
* Passion for helping children make progress.
* Patient and encouraging approach.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to adapt activities to individual pupils.
* Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.
