Senior Sous Chef
Eurest UK - UBER | London
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
(Once per month, Thursday finish at 5:30pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Act as second-in-command, leading the kitchen team with confidence and professionalism
- Lead, train and motivate the brigade, driving performance and development
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control at all times
- Oversee food safety, hygiene and full compliance with all H&S regulations
- Manage wastage and support effective stock control
- Take full responsibility for kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence
- Support menu development and successful implementation
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation and teamwork
- Drive discipline, standards and positive kitchen culture
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
- Background in contract catering within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop junior chefs
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
- Organised, calm under pressure and passionate about delivering high-quality food
- Competitive salary of £40,000 per annum
