Location: Secondary school in Southwark, South East London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–16:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: ASAP

A thriving secondary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated Graduate School Behaviour Mentor to join its pastoral and inclusion team. Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Graduate School Behaviour Mentor role will have:
- A 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology or a related subject preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of behaviour management
- A calm, patient, and professional approach to challenging situations
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Experience working or volunteering with children or teenagers (advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
The Role
As a Graduate School Behaviour Mentor , you will support students aged 11–16 with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions for pupils with SEMH challenges such as anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or low self-esteem
- Creating a calm and supportive environment that promotes self-regulation and personal growth
- Using de-escalation and restorative approaches to manage behaviour effectively
- Building trusted relationships that help students develop resilience, confidence, and motivation
- Working collaboratively with pastoral leaders, teachers, and external agencies to implement tailored support plans
