Warehouse Operative

A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative, based at the NSG Automotive Limited site in Glasgow. The successful candidate will join a team helping handle and ship automotive glass across different sites throughout the UK. Working hours are 42 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and alternative Saturdays 8am-12pm & covering occasional nightshifts to cover annual leave. Key responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination
• Multi drop pattern of up to 15 drops per driving shift
• Picking, packing and delivering orders
• Stock Counting
• General warehousing duties
• Always maintain a professional appearance in both presence and driving style.
• Ability to potentially work flexibly due to holidays/sickness.
  Full driving license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit)
• Good knowledge of the automotive industry and products
• FLT licence is advantageous
• Good attention to detail - will be required to put stock away and pick up stock from alpha numeric code.
• A good geographical understanding of customer service areas.
• Good understanding of the SOPs to be followed and adhered to
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• The ideal person is hands-on, shows initiative, and takes pride in producing high-quality work
