Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness and effectiveness of our operational resilience, business continuity, and operational continuity in resolution frameworks. You will work across the organisation to embed best practices, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the delivery of key resilience objectives.

What will you be doing?

• Enhance and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to manage operational resilience, operational continuity in resolution, and business continuity capabilities.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing review of resilience frameworks across the organisation, collaborating with Technology, Third Party Management, Facilities, and Business Lines.
• Maintain expert knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring compliance across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including Important Business Service (IBS) Owners, Digital & Technology, Corporate Workplace & Services, and external partners.
• Align Disaster Recovery Planning and Recovery Time Objectives with Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and key business services.
• Ensure third-party exit plans and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are in place and tested.
• Facilitate testing of BCPs and IBS scenarios.
• Lead the annual refresh of BIAs and align them with resilience objectives.
• Maintain and test local Crisis Management Plans (CMT) and support the Incident Management Team (IMT) with communication strategies during events.
• Monitor and report on resilience capabilities, providing regular updates to the Head of OR & OCIR.
• Produce Management Information packs for IBP Plc, highlighting key risks for the Operational Resilience Committee (ORC) and other forums.
• Review and report on key performance and risk indicators (KPIs & KRIs).
• Support the development and delivery of a comprehensive training plan.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.

• Strong communication skills – able to engage across all levels and produce clear, concise reports and presentations.
• Confident in challenging subject matter experts and senior stakeholders on a range of topics and risks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while remaining flexible.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Experience in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management.
• Experience in Operational Continuity in Resolution is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Recovery and Resolution Planning is beneficial.
• Demonstrated awareness of changes in markets, products, legislation, and regulatory developments relevant to Investec Bank Plc.
