Senior Project Manager
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take accountability for the delivery of one or more complex major projects within the capital delivery function. You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage service providers, and oversee contractors to ensure successful delivery to time, cost, quality, and safety commitments.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects through the full lifecycle, from business case development and procurement strategy through to completion and transition into operation.
- Leading project teams and embedding a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring robust health, safety, and environmental practices are embedded across projects, achieving best practice standards and supporting carbon reduction targets.
- Developing optimised project solutions that deliver best value on both capital and whole-life cost bases.
- Overseeing procurement activities, including contract preparation, tender evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
- Managing project expenditure, risks, and variations to ensure outperformance against approved budgets.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including planning authorities, to secure required approvals and maintain strong relationships.
- Driving a customer-focused culture, ensuring every project touchpoint delivers a positive experience and protects organisational reputation.
- Providing quality assured data, reporting, and financial updates to senior stakeholders.
