KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant Location: West Heath, Birmingham Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Full-Time, Temporary) Start Date: November 2025 | End Date: July 2026 Salary: Competitive – based on experience Agency: TeacherActive About the Role Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children achieve their full potential? TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in West Heath, Birmingham, who are looking for a confident and caring KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025 to July 2026 (maternity cover). In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting small groups and individual pupils across Key Stage 2, helping to boost progress in core subjects such as English and Maths. You’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver engaging interventions that build confidence, improve attainment, and inspire a love of learning. Your Responsibilities Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support progress in reading, writing, and maths. Work closely with the class teacher to identify learning gaps and adapt strategies to meet pupil needs. Encourage positive learning behaviours and help pupils develop resilience and independence. Track and monitor pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps. Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued. About You We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience supporting children in KS2, particularly with English and Maths interventions.
• Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with staff and pupils alike.
• Are proactive, adaptable, and passionate about helping every child succeed.
• Are committed to upholding high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
