Nanny in the afternoon, Job ID J1E669
This lovely family based in Brent, London, is seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their school-aged child. The role includes all general nanny duties, such as collecting the child from school, bringing her home, engaging her in fun and stimulating activities, and preparing and serving her dinner, with light meal preparation required. The ideal candidate will be a female nanny with previous childcare experience, ideally someone who already has other part-time work and is comfortable with shorter hours. Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks will also be part of the role. A valid First Aid qualification is essential for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 3:20 pm to 6:20 pm
Duties include:
- Pick the child up from school and accompany them to and from after-school activities, playdates, or appointments
- Supervise homework and provide academic guidance and support
- Ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and overall emotional and physical development
- Engage the child in interactive play, creative learning, and outdoor activities such as visits to the park
- Assist with evening and bedtime routines, ensuring a calm and consistent schedule
- Foster a love for reading and early literacy by reading books together
- Support the child’s educational progress through focused learning and homework assistance
- Establish and maintain structured daily routines to promote healthy habits and stability
- Keep the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, tidy, and well-organised
- Prepare and serve balanced, healthy, and nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the child’s needs
