Nanny

ASAP start - full time nanny to work as part of a team (another wonderful nanny + parents) to take both sole and shared care of 12m twins + 3yo toddler. Lots of travel (split between other nanny - so lots of extra holiday and time off when not needed!)

A lovely, laid-back young family in Primrose Hill are looking for a kind, caring and energetic live out nanny who would like a long term, sole charge, position looking after one little boy age 3 years old and twin boys of 12 months old. Both mum and dad are around; we are looking for a nanny who is happy to work both in sole charge and shared care capacity – ideally someone with previous experience working with twins or in a nanny share capacity with 2 babies at the same time.

The family have a maternity nannies until the summer (they start around 2pm and work through to the morning) the nanny will still be expected to be very hands on with the babies. The toddler attends nursery 5 mornings per week; he is a delightful little boy, very smiley and curious and enjoys going to local classes, music, playing with Lego and doing imaginary play. We are looking for a loving, fun nanny who can continue with his development and help the twins with their developmental milestones and encourage learning and curiosity through play.

The suitable candidate will have experience working with babies and toddlers. The right fit is someone who has a genuine love for children and their development, someone who can help them reach their developmental milestones in a fun and engaging way. Someone who is calm and patient that can discipline the children in a gentle and kind and understanding way.

The family have a home in Cape Town, South Africa and the South of France and would like their nanny to be able to travel with them when they go abroad – a confident swimmer is essential.

The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who loves being outdoors, someone energetic, and has ability to be lots of fun but also understands safety is paramount. The nanny should be able to come up with fun and creative activities, helping the children to achieve all their important developmental milestones.

It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm and positive attitude, and who can be both caring and nurturing. The nanny should be outgoing and enjoy taking the children to local classes and enjoy socialising with local nannies and babies of a similar age.

We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking a wide variety of fresh, healthy meals, someone who is confident in the kitchen and happy to introduce new flavours and cuisines.
The right candidate must have an up-to-date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references. British or Eu passport
Duties include, but not limited to:
• Getting toddler and babies ready in the morning
• Nappy changing
• Following day and nighttime routines
• Excellent Hygiene (personal plus knowledge of sanitising bottles, baby equipment etc)
• Reading stories and playing imaginative games
• Playing with toys
• Cooking for the children (including batch cooking)
• Keeping the home and kitchen in organised manner
• Attending to weekly playgroups and activities
• No photos or video of children to be posted anywhere except to parents
• Safety aware both inside and outside the home
• Confident swimmer (family travel a lot)
• Walks to parks & playgrounds
• Encouraging learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and toys have been put away
• Sorting out the children’s wardrobe
• Instilling a sense of adventure and fun
• Teaching kindness and good manners
• Travel with the family for up to 4 weeks
