Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader

Location : Chessington, KT9 1SN

Salary : £14.93 per hour, plus applicable shift allowances and benefits below.

Shifts and hours: Week 1 : Mon-Fri 16:30-00:30 (37.5 hrs )

Week 2 : Mon-Fri 17:00 -00:30 & Sun 6:00 – 12:30 (41.5 hrs)

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

We currently have opportunities to join our fast-paced pharmaceutical supply chain and be a key player in serving millions of patients across the UK and shaping our company culture. We’re seeking a flexible Team Leader to join us at our Service Centre in Chessington, who will thrive in an exciting environment where the work we do is critical in ensuring the integrity of the medical supply chain.

Job Purpose

To drive and motivate Team Members in the achievement of daily operational targets, set by the Supervisory Team, with a focus on guiding and developing staff under your control.

Responsibilities:

• To drive the daily performance of operatives, to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a warehouse operation in line with departmental KPIs

• To implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, escalating any areas of concern immediately to the Outbound Manager

• As directed by the Outbound Manager deliver training on operational procedures and processes in accordance with company strategy including but not exclusively Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Practice (SOP’s)

• In conjunction with and supported by the Outbound Manager actively endorse, promote and manage our Safety culture and status though but not exclusively team briefing, training and if applicable regular 121’s.

• Support the Outbound Manager in achieving departmental and company objectives

• Carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Management Team promoting and supporting company initiatives

• Take responsibility for managing direct reports, which includes leading coaching and motivating the team through effective leadership to achieve performance target .

• In conjunction with and supported by the Outbound Manager actively endorse, promote and manage our Safety culture and status though but not exclusively team briefing, training and if applicable regular 121’s.

• Support the Outbound Manager in achieving departmental and company objectives

• Carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Management Team promoting and supporting company initiatives

Requirements:

• Ability to engage and motivate staff to create a positive work environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

• Strong time management abilities with a key focus on staff management.

• Knowledge of department-specific systems with the confidence to learn additional processes and systems

• Ability to use initiative within pre determined boundaries

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively within predetermined boundaries.

• Understanding of warehouse and distribution processes.

• Familiarity with Security, Audit and Compliance processes.
