Site Officer Role in an Exceptional Primary School
An exceptional Primary School in Bromley is seeking to appoint a reliable and proactive Site Officer to join its dedicated premises team. About the Role
The successful candidate will support the effective operation of the school site, helping to ensure that buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained.
Working closely with the Site Manager and School Business Manager, you will carry out routine maintenance tasks, complete health and safety checks, support site security, assist with room setups, liaise with contractors, and respond to operational issues as they arise.
This role is ideal for a practical and organised individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining high standards across a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily operation and security of the school site
Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Complete health and safety and compliance checks
Monitor heating, lighting, and building systems
Assist with contractor visits and maintenance works
Set up rooms and facilities for school events and activities
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the site and grounds
Help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a site, maintenance, caretaking, or facilities role
Practical DIY and building maintenance skills
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
Experience working within a school or educational setting
Knowledge of safeguarding and site security procedures
Health and safety qualification such as IOSH or equivalent
Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance schedules
