Education Recruitment Consultant Equity London
Education Recruitment Consultant – Director Pathway & Equity Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced education recruiter to join an established boutique recruitment business in London that operates very differently to the typical high-volume supply agency.
The company works across multiple sectors and has built a strong reputation within education recruitment by focusing on quality over volume. Their education division specialises in supplying senior-level candidates into Multi Academy Trusts and Academy Trusts across the UK.
They are already established on major frameworks, including those linked to education recruitment, and have grown consistently year on year. Last financial year the business achieved a turnover of approximately £3 million, with further growth planned over the coming years.
The business is now looking to bring in an experienced education recruiter in one of two directions.
The first option is joining the existing education team supplying senior-level candidates into Trusts and MATs across the UK.
The second option is for somebody to establish and grow a long-term and day-to-day supply division, working alongside and complementing the existing education arm of the business.
Initially this will be a hands-on 360 role. However, this is designed as a long-term strategic hire with a clear pathway into Directorship and equity within the business.
There is potential for 5% equity, and if the business exits around 2030, projected payout could realistically sit between £500k–£800k depending on overall growth and valuation.
This role offers genuine autonomy. You will have a full say in how the new division is structured, developed and grown. As the business expands, there will also be opportunity to build a team around you.
The environment is mature, entrepreneurial and adult-led. They are not looking for somebody who needs micromanaging. They want a passionate, commercially strong recruiter who wants to build something long term and be properly rewarded for it.
The Role
You will:
- Build and develop either a senior education recruitment desk or a new supply division
- Work directly with Trusts, MATs and education clients across the UK
- Develop long-term client relationships
- Manage the full 360 recruitment process
- Help shape the future direction of the education division
- Eventually build and lead a team around you
Package & Offering
- Basic salary from £60,000+ negotiable
- Commission structure tailored to ensure earnings exceed industry norms
- Commission guarantees available for up to 12 months
- Potential 5% equity opportunity
- Director-level progression pathway
- Full autonomy to help shape the division
- Office hours generally 9am–5pm, with flexibility around business needs
- Option for hybrid working
The Business
This is an established boutique recruitment business with a strong reputation across multiple sectors.
Within education recruitment they focus on quality relationships, senior appointments and long-term partnerships rather than high-volume transactional supply.
The business has achieved strong year-on-year growth and is financially stable, with ambitious long-term plans.
Requirements
- Strong background within education recruitment
- Experience running a successful desk
- Commercially aware and relationship-driven
- Ambitious and interested in long-term growth
- Capable of building and developing a division
Why This Role
This is not just another billing role.
It is an opportunity to join a growing business at the right stage, help shape the future of the education division and potentially become a shareholder within the company.
For the right recruiter, this could become a genuine long-term wealth-building opportunity rather than simply another move between agencies.
