- Working closely with curriculum staff, support managers and external agencies.
- Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusive learning practices.
- Acting as a First Aider or undertaking First Aid training if required.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A passion for supporting young people and adults with SEND.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff and families.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Good IT skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive learning practices.
- Level 2 Maths and English or a willingness to achieve these qualifications.
- A willingness to obtain a First Aid qualification if not already held.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or complex needs.
- Experience within a school, college, further education or support setting.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and person-centred support planning.
- Makaton, BSL or Sign-a-Long communication skills.
Why Apply?
- Rewarding opportunity to positively impact learners' lives.
- Supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Opportunity to develop specialist SEND knowledge and skills.
- A role where every day brings variety, challenge and fulfilment.
Safeguarding
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
